About Me
Situation:
A 34-year-old nursing student, deeply immersed in the endless whirlwind of clinicals, exams, and caffeine overdoses, experienced severe burnout symptoms. Overwhelmed and seeking a break, she decided to turn her serious study materials into something fun... with stickers!
Background:
Hi, I’m a current nursing student who loves humor and creativity! Between juggling skills videos, exams, and mom life, I realized there was a shortage of truly relatable, humorous products that capture the daily struggles (and triumphs) of nursing students. That’s when “Broken Sterility Stickers” was born. What started as a personal escape from academic burnout turned into a mission: to create stickers that bring laughter and motivation to nursing students and healthcare workers everywhere.
Assessment:
Early data (aka me and my friends) showed that a little humor can go a long way in making those study sessions, long shifts, and caffeine-fueled nights a bit more bearable. Whether it’s a reminder to “Hand Hygiene” or a cheeky “SBAR,” each sticker adds personality to water bottles, planners, notebooks, and even hospital badges.
Recommendation:
For anyone experiencing nursing school fatigue or looking to brighten their workspace, I prescribe one daily dose of “Broken Sterility Stickers.” They’re designed to make you smile, keep you motivated, and remind you that you’re not alone in this journey. Thanks for visiting, and welcome to the Broken Sterility family, where we laugh through the grind, one sticker at a time!
To keep it real, I'm a full-time nursing student and a full-time single mom. I've had my fair share of what life can dish out. I'm Alaskan Native (Inupiaq), I believe my culture and mother contributed greatly developing my desire to help others. I see myself in the ER or Pediatrics, given my background as an EMT and RBT. I love to help and enjoy a good laugh.
I think the point in nursing school that burnout me out and I needed to find something to help me escape the stress was after my third clinical rotation, thus Broken Sterility Stickers became that escape. I understand that work, family, and life can be overwhelming enough, and then you add nursing school to the mix. That’s why I want to help. If I can bring even one person a smile with a sticker or help with some tips and tricks, then this random website was well worth it. I have no idea where this is going, but I'll keep trying my best to lift up every nursing student because nursing school is tough—and so are you.
